 GoodStart Jones Ebay Tv ad.

I was asked by Ebay to do some images of Goodstart Jones new duffel bag for their Tv ad. GoodStart Jones make a range of lightweight and padded Woodsack bags, which feature a waterproofed wooden panel that gives stability and can be used for all kinds of tasks like writing and for eating on.

I have met Paul and the Team a few time now with working with them for ebay so it was good to work with them again on this new project.

The photoshoot did take a bit longer than we expected but that's product photography as it can sometimes take more time than you plan for but we did not have a time to work to as long as we got the shots Ebay and Paul needed.

It was a long shoot as we started at 2pm and did not finish till late on the night. I must admit by 8pm I was so hungry I could have eaten one of the bags and we still had two more to photograph.

We used a 3 light setup with the light to the left, set up to light the background and the light to the right to light the background and to put some spill light on to the bag. A key light was used to light the bag just above and to the left of the camera.

 We used fishing line to hold the handles up and in position which works well with the amount of changes we have to do. As this Duffel bag can be used in a variety of ways and we needed to show that in the images.


for the back shot we lifted the bag off the table so the one handle could hang down lower than the bag, as you can see in the images on the above and below.
